Honduras' Secretaria de Gobernación, Justicia y Descentralización has issued a communique declaring tomorrow, Friday, July 20, 2018, as a one-off non-working public holiday for the Honduran public sector, due to the second day of the current transportation strike.
The aforementioned announcement that Friday, July 20, 2018, had been declared as a one-off non-working public holiday for the Honduran public sector, due to the second day of the current transportation strike ("Como consecuencia de los actos vandálicos que se suscitaron el jueves 19 de julio y esperando se normalice la convivencia ciudadana, se concede asueto este viernes a todos los funcionarios y empleados de la Administración Pública, Centralizada, Descentralizada y Desconcentrada del Estado") is not the usual declaration of a bridge public holiday as has happened in the past (2018-04-26, 2016-04-29, 2016-04-06, 2015-04-10, 2015-04-08, 2011-04-12, 2010-04-12, 2009-04-14 and 2009-04-03).
