Indian 2018 Central Government Public Holidays Amended

India's Central Government's Ministry of Personnel, Public Grievances and Pensions, has amended the previously-released list of public holidays and restricted holidays to be observed in all the Administrative Offices of the Central Government of India, for the calendar year 2018, by declaring Saturday, April 14, 2018, as a public holiday "on account of the birthday of Dr. B.R. Ambedkar, for all Central Government Offices including Industrial Establishtments throughout India".

The aforementioned DoPT No.12/6/2016-JCA-2, signed by the Deputy Secretary to the Govt. of India, D.K.Sengupta, amended list of public holidays and restricted holidays to be observed in the Administrative Offices of the Central Government of India, for the calendar year 2018, initially released late last spring (2017-06-15), has thus been amended by declaring Saturday, April 14, 2018, as a public holiday.
