India's Central Government's Ministry of Personnel, Public Grievances and Pensions, has once again amended the previously-released list of public holidays and restricted holidays to be observed in all the Administrative Offices of the Central Government of India, for the calendar year 2018, by moving the Bakra Eid, Bakrid or Eid-ul-Adha public holiday for 2018, from Wednesday, August 22, 2018 to Thursday, August 23, 2018.

The aforementioned DoPT No.12/4/2018-JCA-2, signed by the Deputy Secretary to the Govt. of India, Juglar Singh, has thus amended list of public holidays and restricted holidays to be observed in the Administrative Offices of the Central Government of India, for the calendar year 2018, initially released late last spring (15-Jun-2017), as was done, earlier this year (02-Apr-2018), when the Ministry of Personnel, Public Grievances and Pensions declared Saturday, April 14, 2018, as a public holiday "on account of the birthday of Dr. B.R. Ambedkar, for all Central Government Offices including Industrial Establishtments throughout India".
