The Chief Minister’s Office of Malaysia's state of Perlis has announced that the state government of Perlis had decided to move the date of the annual public holiday in Malaysia's state of Perlis for the Birthday of the Yang di-Pertua Negeri Perlis from May 17 to July 17, 2018.

As per the aforementioned announcement, probably due to the proximity of the month of Ramadan (though this is not stated explicitly), the date of the annual public holiday in Malaysia's state of Perlis for the Birthday of the Yang di-Pertua Negeri Perlis will be moved from May 17 to July 17, for the years 2018 to 2021, inclusively.

The change in the date of the annual public holiday in Malaysia's state of Perlis for the Birthday of the Yang di-Pertua Negeri Perlis from May 17 to July 17, 2018, thus further amends (2017-12-01 and 2017-11-15) last summer's release (2017-08-01) by Malaysia's Cabinet's and the Constitution and Government Relations Department of the Prime Minister's Office of the annual official Federal Public Holidays Schedule 2018 and State Public Holiday Schedule 2018 containing the list of official national non-working public holidays in Malaysia for the calendar year 2018 as well as the state-specific regional non-working public holidays in Malaysia for the calendar year 2018.
