Mali's Government has released its annual list of the official non-working public holidays in Mali for the calendar year 2018.
The aforementioned announcement of the official non-working public holidays in Mali for the calendar year 2018, as was the case for similar past announcements (2016-12-19, 2015-12-20, 2014-11-03, 2013-10-28, 2012-10-17 and 2012-01-12), follows the "Loi No.05-40 du 22 juillet 2005 relative aux fêtes légales en République du Mali" which overhauled Mali's list of official non-working public holidays, almost a decade ago (2005-09-12 and 2005-07-04), most notably by adding a non-working public holiday for the Prophet's Baptism, thus making Mali the only country in the world to mark this date as a public holiday.
