Moldova's Cabinet has decided to declare Monday, April 30, 2018, as a one-off bridge public sector holiday in Moldova to link the weekend to the annual May 1 International Day of Workers public holiday of Moldova.

The declaration of Monday, April 30, 2018, as a one-off bridge public sector holiday in Moldova to link the weekend to the annual May 1 International Day of Workers public holiday of Moldova, was originally announced earlier this year (2018-01-24 and 2018-01-15), when the government of Moldova announced an extension to the list of 2018 annual non-working public holidays in Moldova ("Proiect H.G. Cu privire la transferul unor zile de odihnă în anul 2018"), by adding 4 one-off 2018 non-working public holidays in Moldova to the annual official list of non-working public holidays in Moldova for the calendar year 2018.

As usual (2017-05-24, 2017-04-26, 2016-08-25, 2016-05-30, 2016-03-01, 2015-12-16, 2015-10-26, 2013-12-07, 2013-02-08, 2012-02-22 and 2011-08-10), the aforementioned decision by the Moldovan Cabinet of Ministers to declare Monday, April 30, 2018, a one-off non-working public holiday will be compensated by Saturday, April 21, 2018, being declared a regular working day in Moldova.
