Nicaraguan Public Holiday July 19

(Posted on Tuesday, July 17, 2018)

Nicaragua's Ministry of Labour (MITRAB), through its coordinator for the council of communications and Vice-President of Nicaragua, Rosario Murillo, has announced that Thursday, July 19, 2018, would be a non-working public holiday in Nicaragua to mark the 39th anniversary of the Sandanista revolution.

In the past, a one-off, July 20, non-working public holiday had often been adjoined to the annual, July 19, public holiday of Nicaragua (12-Jul-2016, 14-Jul-2015, 14-Jul-2012, 09-Jul-2010 and 15-Jul-2009), though not systematically (10-Jul-2017, 15-Jul-2014 and 13-Jul-2013), and almost never for the private sector.
