Nigerian Senator, Oluremi Tinubu, has urged the Nigerian Federal Government to declare official non-working public holidays to facilitate the collection of Permanent Voters’ Cards (PVCs), ahead of the December 2018 deadline.

In the past, public holidays have been declared in Nigeria for the dates of elections as well as, on some occasions, for voters to pick-up their PVCs (23-Apr-2011, 04-Apr-2011, 02-Apr-2011, 26-Jan-2007, 01-Dec-2006, 10-Jun-2006).
