Papua New Guinea's APEC Coordinating Authority chief executive, Chris Hawkins, has announced that 2 non-working public holidays, on November 15 and 16, 2018, were planned for November 2018 ("the two public holidays had been confirmed and awaiting the endorsement of Cabinet and Government House before they were gazetted").

A couple of months ago (2018-06-17), we had reported that the Port Moresby Chamber of Commerce was expecting the government of Papua New Guinea, to declare Friday, November 16, 2018, the day when most APEC leaders will be flying in, as a one-off non-working public holiday in Papua New Guinea.

The current list of official Papua New Guinea public holidays for the calendar year 2018 (2017-10-11) is contained in the "PNG National Gazette", which, as usual (2016-08-24, 2015-10-01, 2014-08-18, 2014-01-07, 2012-08-25, 2011-08-07, 2010-10-26, 2009-10-08, 2006-10-13, 2003-07-07 and 2000-08-15) announced day in lieu public holidays, if applicable.
