Thailand's assistant government spokesperson, Colonel Athisit Chainuwat, has announced that Thursday, April 12, 2018, had been declared as a one-off non-working public holiday in Thailand to coincide with the Songkran festival of 2018.

The aforementioned announcement that that the 2018 Songkran non-working public holidays in Thailand, would run from April 12-16, 2018, inclusively, thus extends the previously-released list of 2018 public holidays in Thailand (29-Oct-2017).
