The government of Timor Leste has announced that it had once again decided to extend the list of 2018 public holidays in Timor Leste by declaring an additional public holiday on Wednesday, August 22, 2018 ("Declares a national holiday on 22 August, the day of commemoration of the ldul Adha, a holiday of the Muslim religion").
According to the Secretariat of State of the Council of Ministers of Timor Leste, this decision is based on law No.10/2005, which overhauled Timor Leste's public holidays (2005-08-12) and the list of official public holidays in Timor Leste for the calendar year 2018, which was announced at the beginning of this year (2018-01-09).
