The UAE Cabinet has decided to move this year's Commemoration Day from Friday, November 30, to Thursday, November 29, 2018, but not to observe it as a non-working public holiday in the UAE, as it was in the past.
Three years ago (2015-08-19), the UAE's President, Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan, had given orders for a new annual non-working public holiday in the UAE to be added to the list of annual non-working public holidays in the UAE on November 30th, to commemorate "Martyrs' Day", a name changed to "Commemoration Day", last year (2017-11-23 and 2017-11-17).
