Azerbaijan's Cabinet of Ministers has made its annual year-end public holidays announcement (О переносе рабочих и выходных дней), whereby the period of Tuesday, December 31, 2019, to Monday, January 6, 2020, inclusively, had been declared as official non-working public holidays in Azerbaijan on account of the upcoming annual "Solidarity Day of World Azerbaijanis" and "Western New Year" public holidays.

The aforementioned declaration of the period of Tuesday, December 31, 2019, to Monday, January 6, 2020, inclusively, as non-working public holidays in Azerbaijan, thus indirectly modifies the official list of 2019 non-working public holidays in Azerbaijan, which was published late last year (2018-12-27) which itself was based on Article 105 of the Labor Code of Azerbaijan as it relates to the list of official non-working public holidays (2005-12-30).

In compensation for the declaration of one-off public holidays in Azerbaijan on January 3 and 6, 2020, both December 28 and 29, 2019, have been declared as regular working days ("с целью обеспечения последовательности рабочих и выходных дней, 28 и 29 декабря 2019 года перенесены на 3 и 6 января 2020 года").

Some years (2016-12-01), Azerbaijan's Cabinet of Ministers has announced the full list of official annual non-working public holidays in Azerbaijan for the upcoming calendar year, and some other years, only the year-end public holidays in Azerbaijan (2014-11-04 and 2013-12-11).
