The government of Benin has released a communiqué, signed by Benin's Minister of Labour and of the Public Sector, Mathys Adidjatou, announcing that the government of Bénin had declared Thursday, August 15, 2019, as a non-working public holiday throughout Bénin on account of the upcoming "ffête de l'Assomption" annual non-working public holiday of Bénin.

The aforementioned declaration of Thursday, August 15, 2019, as a non-working public holiday throughout Bénin on account of the upcoming "ffête de l'Assomption" annual non-working public holiday of Bénin, as on previous occasions (2019-06-06), is in line with the previously-announced list of annual non-working public holidays in the Benin for the calendar year 2019, as announced by the government of Benin, earlier this year (2019-01-16).
