The Ministre d’Etat, Ministre du Travail, Emploi et Prévoyance Sociale of the RDC (République Démocratique du Congo), Lambert Matuku Menas, has declared Friday, May 17, 2019, as a non-working public holiday in the RDC ("la journée du vendredi 17 mai est déclarée chômée et payée sur toute l’étendue du territoire national").
The aforementioned announcement of a non-working public holiday, on Friday, May 17, 2019, is in line with the previously-announced (2019-01-03), annual list of the non-working public holidays in the DRC for the calendar year 2019, although the May 17 public holiday will henceforth be called "Journée nationale de la Révolution et des FARDC" instead of "Journée de la Libération".
