The Government of India's state of Gujarat has declared Wednesday, October 30, 2019, as an additional one-off non-working public holiday in Gujarat, to link the annual public holidays for Diwali, Gujarati New Year and Bhai Beej, on October 27-28-29, with the annual Gujarati public holiday of Sardar Patel Jayanti on October 31, 2019.
As the aforementioned announcement of a one-off public holiday on Wednesday, October 30, 2019, in India's state of Gujarat thus modifies again (2018-11-09) the annual list of non-working public holidays in India's state of Gujarat for the calendar year 2019 (2018-11-07, 2017-10-19 and 2016-12-14).
The extra public holiday of October 30, 2019, in India's State of Gujarat, will be compensated by the declaration of Saturday, November 9, 2019, as a regular working day in Gujarat.
