A bill has been introduced to the Hungarian parliament, by the left Democratic Coalition (DK), proposing that May 9, Europe Day, be declared a public holiday in Hungary.
The declaration of May 9 as a new annual non-working public holiday in Hungary would not have any impact until 2022, as May 9 will fall on a weekend in both 2020 and 2021.
