The Government of India's State of Telangana has declared a one-off non-working public holiday on Monday, April 11, 2019, on account of the upcoming Lok Sabha elections.

The aforementioned announcement, that India's state of Telangana has declared a one-off non-working public holiday on Monday, April 11, 2019, on account of the upcoming Lok Sabha elections, thus amends the "HOLIDAYS- General Holidays and Optional Holidays for the year 2019 – Declared" (G.O.Rt.No. 2493) which officially listed the annual non-working public holidays to be observed in the Indian State of Telangana for the then upcoming calendar year 2019, as released by the Government of India's State of Telangana, late last year (2018-11-16).

Recall that, earlier this week (2019-03-28 and 2019-03-27), the Governments of India's states of Tamil Nadu and the Union Territory of Puducherry similarly declared a one-off non-working public holiday on Monday, April 18, 2019, on account of the upcoming Lok Sabha elections, while, last week (2019-03-20), the Government of India's state of Uttarakhand declared a one-off non-working public holiday on Thursday, April 11, 2019, also on account of the upcoming Lok Sabha elections.
