Indian 2019 Tamil Nadu Public Holidays Amended

The Government of India's state of Tamil Nadu has declared a one-off non-working public holiday on Monday, January 14, 2019, thus extending the upcoming Pongal non-working public holidays of the Indian state of Tamil Nadu to six consecutive days.

The aforementioned announcement that India's state of Tamil Nadu had declared a one-off non-working public holiday on Monday, January 14, 2019, extending the upcoming Pongal non-working public holidays of the Indian state of Tamil Nadu to six consecutive days, thus amends the list of Tamil Nadu non-working public holidays for the calendar year 2019 (G.O Ms.No. 840 Dt: October 29, 2018 - Public Holidays under Negotiable Instruments Act, 1881 for the State Government Offices and all Commercial Banks including Co-operative Banks in Tamil Nadu for the year 2019) as released late last year (2018-10-30).

Note that, in compensation, Saturday, February 9, 2019, has been declared as a regular working day in the Indian state of Tamil Nadu.
