The Jordanian Cabinet has announced that this year's annual International Labor Day non-working public holiday of Jordan would be observed on May 2, 2019.
The aforementioned announcement that this year's annual International Labor Day non-working public holiday of Jordan would be observed on May 2, 2019, rather than its traditional date of May 1st, represents an amendment to the previously-released, list of annual non-working bank holidays and public holidays in Jordan for the calendar year 2019, as announced last autumn (2018-10-18), although the Jordanian government often (2017-04-26, 2015-04-22, 2013-04-19, 2013-01-17, 2012-04-24 and 2006-04-25), though not systematically (2018-04-22, 2016-04-26, 2014-04-28, 2010-04-27 and 2005-04-25), moves mid-week public holidays to the nearest weekend, in particular the Labour Day non-working public holiday.
