Kazakhstan 2020 Public Holidays Draft

The Ministry of Labor and Social Protection of the Population of Kazakhstan has issued a draft amendment to the annual list of 2020 public holidays in Kazakhstan, "with a view to rational use of working time in accordance with paragraph 3 of Article 85 of the Labor Code", in accordance with the labor legislation of the Republic of Kazakhstan.

As was the case some previous years (2018-11-14, 2017-12-25, 2017-10-05, 2016-01-13, 2015-01-17, 2013-12-26, 2013-02-18, 2012-02-17 and 2011-01-14), but not all (2016-05-31), the aforementioned draft list of non-working public holidays in the Republic of Kazakhstan for 2020, accompanied by an explanatory note by the Minister of Labor and Social Protection, Birzhan Nurymbetov, is being announced late in the year, though this time at the same time as the draft amendments, as regards to days in lieu and bridge holidays and compensatory working Saturdays (2017-10-17, 2016-03-28, 2016-03-14, 2016-03-03).
