The Association of Banks in Lebanon in conjunction with the Banque du Liban (Lebanon's Central Bank), have issued a communique announcing that the current weeklong sequence of bank holidays would be extended with the declaration of another bank holiday on Monday, October 28, 2019, "awaiting a return to stability in light of continuing protests across the country".
The aforementioned announcement of an additional non-working bank holiday in Lebanon on Monday, October 21, 2019, thus amends the list of Lebanon public holidays as announced by the Association of Banks in Lebanon, at the very beginning of this year (2019-01-01), and already once amended last week (2019-10-20), when the Association of Banks in Lebanon similarly issued a communique announcing a banking holiday for Monday, October 21, 2019, "due to nationwide protests".
