Malaysian PHG State Announces July 30 Public Holiday

Malaysia's Pahang State Menteri Besar Datuk Seri Wan Rosdy Wan Ismail, has announced that effective in 2019, July 30 would be a new annual non-working public holiday "in conjunction with the birthday of the Sultan of Pahang, Al-Sultan Abdullah Ri’ayatuddin Al-Mustafa Billah Shah, who earlier this year ascended to become Agong of Malaysia".

Earlier this month (2019-05-22), Pahang State Secretary, Datuk Seri Dr Sallehuddin Ishak, had announced a one-off non-working public holiday in Malaysia's State of Pahang on Thursday, May 23, 2019, "to allow the people to pay their last respects to the late Sultan, Paduka Ayahanda Sultan Ahmad Shah Al-Musta'in Billah ibni Al Marhum Sultan Abu Bakar Ri'ayatuddin Al-Mu'adzam Shah".
