The government of Myanmar has released an extension to its previously-released list of the dates of the official Myanmar bank holidays and non-working public holidays in Myanmar for the calendar year 2019, compensating weekends dates for the upcoming Thadingyut and Tazaungdaing public holidays.
The aforementioned extensions thus amend the list of the dates of the official Myanmar annual bank holidays and non-working public holidays in Myanmar for the calendar year 2019, released last fall (2018-11-19), and which included the effects of the one-off (2017-03-10) and then annually extended (2017-03-14) reduction of the 10-day Thingyan and Burmese New Year public holidays in Myanmar, to 5 days, as well as the effect of last summer's decision by the government of Myanmar that "if Saturday and Sunday coincide with a holiday, it has been decided to set it as a transfer holiday" (2019-08-21).
