Nigerian 59th Independence Anniversary Public Holiday

The Permanent Secretary, Ministry of Interior, Georgina Ehuriah, has announced that the Nigerian Government, had declared Tuesday, October 1, 2019, as a non-working public holiday throughout Nigeria on account of Nigeria's upcoming 59th Independence Anniversary.

The aforementioned declaration of Tuesday, October 1, 2019, as a non-working public holiday throughout Nigeria, did not require the declaration of a day in lieu public holiday as in some past years (2017-09-27, 2016-09-29, 2015-09-28, 2014-09-25, 2013-09-24, 2012-09-28, 2011-09-26 and 2010-09-23).
