The Chief Minister of the government of Malaysia's State of Pahang, Menteri Besar Datuk Seri Wan Rosdy Wan Ismail, has announced that the Pahang state executive council had declared a one-off occasional non-working public holiday in Malaysia's State of Pahang on Thursday, January 31, 2019, in conjunction with the swearing-in of the Sultan of Pahang, as King of Malaysia.
Earlier this month (2019-01-16), Malaysia Government Call Centre (MyGCC) had announced that Thursday, January 31, 2019, the date of the upcoming swearing-in ceremony of the newly-elected Agong, would not be a one-off national non-working public holiday in Malaysia.
