The Federal Government of Pakistan has amended the dates for the upcoming Eid-ul-Fitr (End of Ramadan) public holidays throughout Pakistan for the calendar year 2019, by expanding these annual Pakistani public holidays to last 4 days (June 4-7, inclusively).

The aforementioned announcement is longer than what was announced in the "expected dates for public and optional holidays for the calendar year 2019" published by the Government of Pakistan, earlier this year (2019-01-09).

As happened in some past years (2018-06-09, 2017-06-07, 2016-06-27, 2015-07-07, 2015-01-12, 2013-07-31 and 2012-08-09), but not all (2011-08-25 and 2010-09-05), and not to the same extent as last year, the Government of Pakistan thus extended the duration of the upcoming 2019 Eid-ul-Fitr (End of Ramadan) public holidays in Pakistan for "government and private companies employees".
