The Paraguayan head of presidential decrees has released a communique confirming that all 3 of Paraguay's May 2019 public holidays would be observed on their set date ("Los tres siguientes feriados -el 1, 14 y 15 de mayo- no se moverán de sus días, como ocurrió en otros casos").
The aforementioned announcement, as in preceding years (2018-05-01, 2016-04-09), is in line with the major changes to Paraguay public holidays of 7 years ago (2012-08-03 and 2012-04-12), and re-confirmed the following year (2013-01-03), when Paraguay's president, Federico Franco, issued an executive decree agreeing to the proposal by Paraguay's Senatur, to avail himself of the powers given to the presidency a decade ago, and move some of the 2013 mid-week public holidays to a nearby Monday.
