Earlier today, the Chamber of Deputies of Paraguay approved a draft declaration calling on the President of Paraguay, Mario Abdo Benítez, to decree a one-off non-working public holiday in Paraguay, on Friday, November 8, 2019, one day before the upcoming end of the South American football Cup.

The aforementioned proposed legislation would thus be in addition to the list of annual non-working public holidays in Paraguay for 2019 as announced late last year (2018-12-22).
