Following today's Cabinet meeting, the Romanian Government announced that it had declared Tuesday, April 30, 2019, as a one-off non-working public sector holiday throughout Romania to link the May 1st public holiday of Romania with the preceding 4-day Easter weekend.

As is common in cases (2018-04-12, 2017-07-21, 2013-12-13, 2013-08-14, 2012-11-28 and 2012-04-26) when bridge public holidays are declared in Romania, the aforementioned one-off non-working public sector holiday will be compensated by overtime work to be performed before May 31, 2019.
