The government of Tonga has declared a one-off public holiday in Tonga, on Friday, November 15, 2019, "to celebrate last Saturday’s historic Test triumph over the Kangaroos".
The aforementioned declaration of a public holiday in Tonga, on Friday, November 15, 2019, came as Tongan Prime Minister Pōhiva Tuʻiʻonetoa publicly congratulated Tonga coach Kristian Woolf, captain Jason Taumalolo and the players and staff for their 2 recent wins, and is once again (2019-09-15) in addition to Tonga's Ministry of Information and Communications communiqué announcing the official list of non-working public holidays in Tonga for the calendar year 2019, released early this year (2019-01-10), and with the terms of the "Public Holidays (Amendment) Act 2010" (Act No. 10 of 2010) which amended the public holidays legislation of Tonga (2010-05-19 and 2010-04-08).
