Transdniestrian 2019 Public Holidays Extended

The Government of Transdniestria has announced that it had declared Tuesday, December 31, 2019, as a one-off non-working public holiday in Transdniestria (PMR), leading to a total of 8 consecutive days off for the new year 2020.

Earlier this year (2018-06-15), Transdniestria's government had announced its annual list of official non-working public holidays in the Transdniestrian Moldovan Republic (TMR, aka Transdniestria or also the Pridnestrovian Moldavian Republic) for the upcoming calendar year 2019.

Today's announcement of a a one-off non-working public holiday in Transdniestria on Tuesday, December 31, 2019, will not be compensated with the same number of working Saturdays, as is usually the case.
