The UAE's Federal Authority For Government Human Resources has announced a revision to its annual list of expected non-working public holidays in the UAE for the calendar years 2019 and 2020, as announced earlier this year.

Last March (2019-03-05), the UAE government announced its annual list of expected non-working public holidays in the UAE for the calendar years 2019 and 2020, in one fell swoop, contrary to the usual annual announcements (2018-01-08, 2017-01-03, 2015-12-26, 2015-01-04, 2014-01-07 and 2012-12-29) of the list of expected non-working public holidays in the UAE, one year at the time.

That announcement brought the number of public holidays enjoyed by the UAE private sector in line with the number of public holidays enjoyed by the UAE public sector, as well as canceling the UAE public holiday for the birthday of Prophet Muhammad (PBUH), which was brought back as a UAE public holiday in 2019, in today's announcement.
