The UAE government has confirmed that there would be no public holiday for Israa Wal Miraj (Rajab 27) or the birthday of Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) (Rabi Al Awwal 12) in the years 2019 and 2020.
Last month (2019-03-05), the UAE government had announced its annual list of expected non-working public holidays in the UAE for the calendar years 2019 and 2020 which superseded past announcements (2018-01-08, 2017-01-03, 2015-12-26, 2015-01-04, 2014-01-07 and 2012-12-29) with a 2-year announcement which brings the number of public holidays enjoyed by the UAE private sector in line with the number of public holidays enjoyed by the UAE public sector.
