Ukraine Expected to Approve 2019 Public Holidays

The Ukrainian Cabinet is expected to approve, in the coming days, the draft order of the Cabinet of Ministers specifying the annual official list of 2019 non-working public holidays in the Ukraine as announced last autumn by the Minsotspolitiki.

Last month (2018-12-13), Ukraine's Ministry of Social Policy had released a draft resolution for the Cabinet of Ministers of the Ukraine specifying the annual official list of 2019 non-working public holidays in the Ukraine, which, as in previous years, except last year (2017-12-08), included a decision to postpone working days in 2019, in order to create favorable conditions for the rational use of working time.

In the aforementioned draft list of non-working public holidays 2019 in the Ukraine, as was done in the past (2018-01-11, 2017-12-08, 2016-11-15, 2016-08-17, 2015-11-12, 2014-11-17, 2014-11-13, 2013-11-21, 2012-05-30, 2012-04-23, 2012-03-01, 2011-06-20, 2011-02-24, 2010-08-13, 2008-12-10, 2007-11-29, and 2005-12-23), a series of additional one-off bridge public holidays was declared in 2019, to be compensated by corresponding working Saturdays.
