Venezuela's president, Nicolás Maduro, has issued a decree extending the current blackout public holidays by declaring Tuesday and Wednesday, March 12 and 13, 2019, as one-off additional non-working public holidays in Venezuela on account of the current failure of the Venezuelan power grid.
The aforementioned declaration of Tuesday and Wednesday, March 12 and 13, 2019, as one-off additional non-working public holidays in Venezuela thus further amends (2019-02-27) the official list of the dates for the 2019 public holidays and banking holidays in Venezuela as announced last summer by the Sudeban (2018-08-09) in conformity with the "Ley de Reforma Parcial de la Ley de Instituciones del Sector Bancario".
