Venezuela's president, Nicolás Maduro, has issued a decree declaring Thursday February 28, and Friday, March 1, 2019, as one-off additional non-working public holidays in Venezuela on account of the upcoming Carnival.
The aforementioned declaration of Thursday February 28, and Friday, March 1, 2019, as one-off additional non-working public holidays in Venezuela on account of the upcoming Carnival, thus amends the official list of the dates for the 2019 public holidays and banking holidays in Venezuela as announced last summer by the Sudeban (2018-08-09) in conformity with the "Ley de Reforma Parcial de la Ley de Instituciones del Sector Bancario".
