The Government Information Services of the Government of Antigua and Barbuda has released a media statement from the Office of the Prime Minister, stating that Thursday, March 26, 2020, the "Day of National Prayer and Fasting" is not a public holiday ("Please be advised that Thursday is NOT a public holiday.").
The aforementioned media statement goes on to state that "All government employees who are sufficiently healthy and displaying no symptoms of the Covid-19 are to report for work on Thursday, March 26, 2020." and that "Private sector workers are also to report for work on Thursday, March 26, 2020.".
The declaration of Thursday, March 26, 2020, as a public holiday in Antigua and Barbuda, would have amended the list of 2020 public holidays as released by the Permanent Secretary to the Ministry of Legal Affairs of Antigua and Barbuda, earlier this year (2020-01-15).
