The government of Belarus has issued the "Resolution of the Council of Ministers of the Republic of Belarus dated November 9, 2020 No. 635" (Постановлением Совета Министров Республики Беларусь от 9 ноября 2020 года № 635) which expands and formalizes the annual list of official non-working public holidays in Belarus in the calendar year 2021.

Today's announcement was made by the Council of Ministers of Belarus, without the announcement of an earlier draft as was the case in past years (2018-12-18, 2018-12-12, 2017-10-30, 2015-11-25 and 2015-11-13) but not all (2019-10-09 and 2016-11-10).

For the 8th consecutive year (2019-10-09, 2018-12-18, 2018-12-12, 2017-10-30, 2016-11-10, 2015-11-25, 2014-11-12, 2013-12-02 and 2012-12-01), the "Resolution of the Council of Ministers of the Republic of Belarus dated November 9, 2020 No. 635" lists one-off bridge and day in lieu public holidays in Belarus for 2021, before the beginning of the year, rather than on a case-by-case basis as was the case in previous years (2012-06-03, 2012-04-09, 2012-03-01, and 2011-12-29), though last-minute changes are always possible (2019-12-19, 2019-12-18, 2019-12-09, 2019-11-27, 2014-12-17).
