Recall that, this past spring (2020-04-07), Cambodia's Prime Minister, Hun Sen, postponed the Khmer New Year annual public holidays of Cambodia, scheduled for April 13-16, 2020, to halt Covid-19 infections ("I’ve chosen to suspend the Khmer New Year holidays. Those in the public and private sectors are required to work as usual."), thus amending the terms of the Cambodian Royal Government's Sub-Decree 112 on Employee's Public Holidays for 2020 establishing Cambodia's annual list of official non-working public holidays for the calendar year 2020 (2019-11-11), which in themselves already reflected the major changes to Cambodian public holidays enacted earlier in 2019, whereby the number of annual public holidays in Cambodia was sharply reduced (2019-08-09).
