A statement issued by the Egyptian Cabinet, yesterday, announced that Egyptian Prime Minister, Mostafa Madbouly, had issued a decree setting Thursday, Auust 20, 2020, as a paid public holiday for all employees in ministries, state institutions, and public enterprise companies on account of the upcoming Islamic New Year annual public holiday of Egypt ("Thursday will be a public holiday to mark the new Islamic Hijri year 1442").
The aforementioned announcement of Thursday, Auust 20, 2020, as a non-working official public holiday in Egypt on account of the upcoming Hijri 1442 Islamic New Year, is in line with the annual list of 2020 bank holidays in Egypt, released earlier this year by (2020-01-13), and which corresponds generally to the list of official non-working public holidays.
