The Ministry of the Interior, Decentralization and Human Rights of Honduras has announced that, due to the threat posed by hurricane Eta, the upcoming Semana Morazánica annual public holidays of Honduras would be moved, for a second time this year, from November 4-7, 2020, to the following week, November 11-14, 2020.

The 2020 Semana Morazánica public holidays of Honduras were already moved once this year, from their usual date in October to the first week of November 2020 (2020-09-17, 2020-09-12 and 2020-09-10), a change which was officialized in the Decreto No.126-2020 ("Con fines turísticos y únicamente durante el año 2020, los feriados correspondientes a las festividades cívicas de los días 3, 12 y 21 de Octubre, se trasladan a partir del primer Miércoles del mes de Noviembre del año 2020, para los empleados públicos; y, para los empleados del sector privado dichos feriados iniciarán desde el primer Miércoles de Noviembre a las doce meridiano (12:00 M.), hasta el Sábado a las doce meridiano (12:00 M.).").

Before 2014, Honduras had 3 annual October non-working public holidays, on the 3rd, the 12th and the 21st of October, and over the years, the government of Honduras often tinkered with these 3 annual October public holidays (2013-10-03, 2013-09-24, 2012-10-06, 2012-10-01, 2011-09-30, 2003-04-09, 2008-10-25, 2007-10-03, 2006-10-02, and 2005-09-30).

Then, in 2014, the "Decreto Legislativo No. 75-2014 del 29 de septiembre" (2014-10-27, 2014-10-02, 2014-09-10 and 2014-09-05), moved of all 3 of Honduras' annual October non-working public holidays to the last week of October, and a year later (2015-08-14, 2015-08-05, 2015-12-12 and 2015-07-01), they were moved from the last week of October to the beginning of October.
