Isle of Man August 28 Public Holiday Officialized

The replacement bank holiday on the Isle of Man, on Friday, August 28, 2020, in replacement for the June 12, Senior Race Day public holiday, has been officially published on the Isle of Man Government website.

Recall that last month (2020-05-08), the Isle of Man Council of Ministers canceled the then upcoming, June 12, Senior Race Day public holiday, in conjunction with the cancellation of the T.T. Race in 2020, stating at the time that it planned to declare a one-off public holiday to compensate the aforementioned cancellation, one of the dates being discussed at that time being Friday, August 28, 2020.

Later that month (2020-05-11), the Isle of Man Council of Ministers approved the declaration of a one-off bank holiday on the Isle of Man on Friday, August 28, 2020.
