As expected, the Isle of Man Council of Ministers has approved the declaration of a one-off bank holiday on the Isle of Man on Friday, August 28, 2020, in replacement for the recently-canceled, June 12, Senior Race Day public holiday.

Last week (2020-05-08), the Isle of Man Council of Ministers announced that the upcoming, June 12, Senior Race Day public holiday, had been canceled, due to the cancellation of the T.T. Race in 2020, but that it planned to declare a one-off public holiday to compensate the aforementioned cancellation of the June 12, 2020, Senior Race Day public holiday, one of the dates being discussed being Friday, August 28, 2020.
