The Governor of India's state of Jharkhand, Draupadi Murmu, has released the Jharkhand vide notification No.6751 containing the annual list of the days which will be non-working public holidays and restricted holidays in India's state of Jharkhand for the upcoming calendar year 2021 ("The Government of Jharkhand has declared the List of General Holidays in the State of Jharkhand for the calendar year 2021").
As per custom (2019-12-22, 2018-12-12, 2017-12-06 and 2016-12-18), the aforementioned notification of the annual list of the days which will be non-working public holidays and restricted holidays in India's state of Jharkhand for the upcoming calendar year 2021, are contained in a Government of Jharkhand Government Order which includes the mention that "The date may be changed according to the visibility of the Moon." as well as a list of usual public holidays of Jharkhand which were not declared as public holidays in 2021, due to these holidays falling on a Sunday, namely: Holika Dahan, Mahavir Jayanti, Independence Day, and Raksha Bandhan.
The list of 2021 Jharkhand public holidays also includes a list of 16 days of leave under executive order, namely: Sohrai, Makar Sankranti, Subhash Chandra Bose Jayanti, Basant Panchami, Sant Ravidas Jayanti, Labour Day, Hool Divas, Rath Yatra, World Aboriginal Day, Ganesh Chaturthi, Navratri, Dussehra (Maha Saptami), Govardhan Puja, Chitragupta Puja-Bhaiya Dooj, Chhath Morning, and Bhagwan Birsa Munda Jayanti – State Foundation Day.
