Kazakhstan Mulls August 10 Day of Abai Public Holiday

The Ministry of Culture and Sports of the Government of Kazakhstan has proposed declaring the Day of Abai, on August 10, as a new annual holiday in Kazakhstan.

According to the aforementioned announcement: "The public discussion of this proposal will last until July 13".

The most recent new public holiday in Kazakhstan, the Day of the Capital, on July 6, was declared an annual public holiday in Kazakhstan, over a decade ago (2008-06-26, 2008-06-23 and 2008-06-18).
