Liberian Independence Day Public Holidays July 26-27

The President of Liberia, George Manneh Weah, has issued a proclamation declaring Sunday, July 26, 2020, as a national non-working public holiday in Liberia to be observed across the country on account of Liberia's Independence Day.

As usual (2019-08-21), and per Liberian law (the "Patriotic Observances Law", Title 26, Liberian Code of Laws of 1956), fixed-date public holidays that fall on a Sunday are not meant to be compensated by a day in lieu public holiday on the following Monday ("declaring Sunday, July 26, 2020 as Independence Day and is to be observed on Monday, July 27 throughout the Republic as a National Holiday").
