The President of Liberia, George Manneh Weah, has issued a proclamation declaring Thursday, November 1, 2018, as non-working public holidays to be observed throughout the Republic of Liberia as national non-working public holidays on account of Thanksgiving Day.

The aforementioned Thanksgiving Day public holiday was enacted in 1883 by the National Legislature of the Republic of Liberia declaring the first Thursday in the month of November of each year as National Thanksgiving Day.
