The Consejo de Gobierno de la Comunidad de Madrid has announced that the regional government of Spain's autonomous region of Madrid had approved the annual list of official 2021 non-working public holidays (calendario laboral) in Spain's Autonomous Comunidad de Madrid.

As per the aforementioned "Decreto 80/2020, de 23 de septiembre, de la Comunidad de Madrid, del Consejo de Gobierno, por el que se establecen las fiestas laborables para el año 2021 en la Comunidad de Madrid" (BOCM de 25 de septiembre de 2020), the San José public holiday whose appearance over the years has been on (2019-09-26, 2016-09-20, 2014-09-18, 2012-09-23 and 2011-09-16) and off (2018-09-25, 2017-09-26, 2015-09-22, 2013-09-27 and 2007-09-30), will be one of the official 2020 non-working public holidays in Spain's Autonomous Comunidad de Madrid, but the oft celebrated Corpus Christi (2013-09-27, 2010-09-12, 2009-10-07 and 2008-09-26) will not be.

Instead, there will be a one-off public holiday on May 3, 2021, in Spain's autonomous region of Madrid.

Finally, in addition to the aforementioned regional public holidays in the autonomous region of Madrid, the city of Madrid itself observes May 15 (San Isidro) and November 9 (La Almudena) as municipal public holidays.
