Moldovan Prime Minister, Ion Chicu, has announced that Moldova's Cabinet had decided to extend the current public sector holidays in Moldova until Friday, May 1, 2020, inclusively, due to the current coronavirus pandemic ("We are extending the non-working period until April 30 for employees in the budget sector, while maintaining salaries. Next week will be non-working, the public servants will start going to work on May 4").
The initial list of 2020 annual non-working public holidays in Moldova, as announced, late last year (2019-12-17 and 2019-12-03), was amended first last month, when March 30 to April 6, then April 7-17, were declared public sector holidays in Moldova due to the Covid19 pandemic (2020-04-13 and 2020-04-06), and this was extended again to April 24, 2020 (2020-04-14).
